Don Greenberg has been employed in the entertainment industry since 1975, and has been a Visual Effects Compositor for the past 20 years. He is currently a Freelance Inferno/Flame Artist and has worked on feature films for I.L.M., Imageworks, Rhythm & Hues, and Hydraulx. From 2000 thru 2003 Don was Supervising Inferno Artist for episodic television at RIOT Pictures in Santa Monica, and has also worked at Digital Magic, POP, The Post Group in Los Angeles, and Broadway Video in New York City.
Recent visual effects credits for features include: The A-Team, 2012, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Bedtime Stories, Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer, X-Men: The Last Stand, The Invasion, Little Man, Fantastic 4, War of the Worlds, xXx: State of the Union. Recent credits for television series, mini-series and movies of the week include: Angels in America, Normal, Smallville, The X-Files, Dark Angel, Star Trek: Voyager, and Anne Frank.
In 2004 Don was nominated for an Emmy as Lead Compositor on HBO's miniseries, Angels in America. He has won three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Achievement in Visual Effects for his work on Star Trek: Voyager, and The X-Files, and has received a total of nine Emmy nominations.
Greenberg was elected Governor of the Visual Effects Branch of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for two terms (1998-2000 & 2000-2002), was a member of the Academy’s Awards Committee from 1994-1998, and was elected to the Board of Directors of The Visual Effects Society (2002-2004).
