Robb Hart

Robb Hart is a British Art School graduate who: watched the title sequence to James Bond’s film Goldfinger being shot in his dad’s studio at the age of seven. Sometimes described as the Zelig of pop culture, he was at the Sex Pistols first gig at his art school – St Martin’s School of Art, he was also at the first-ever performance of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon, and the penultimate performance of Ziggy Stardust.

He smuggled money and film into Argentina during the Falklands War. He has known three cannibals. Filmed in the Amazon and the North Pole. Launched MTV Europe, and was the original producer of YO! MTV Raps. 29 years ago, he came to America to work for Virgin Interactive. He has directed Christopher Lloyd as a mad cartoonist stuck in a cartoon world, Christopher Plummer in a Star Trek project, and Liam Neeson as a hologram in the musical The War of the Worlds.

As a visual effects wizard, he has manipulated, polished and paired images within a hair of what is legal. Robb works in Los Angeles as a director, editor and VFX artist.

His personal interests include drawing, books and technology. An accomplished traditional artist, Robb has attended figure drawing lessons since he was twelve. He loves audiobooks, the answer to keeping him sane as he drives in LA. A total Tech fan, who dreamt up his version of the iPhone 30 years ago, described it in detail to an engineer who said he was mad.

Robb is a member of the Visual Effects Society and past president of the American Advertising Federation OC. He still listens to punk rock and has written four books including a memoir, a novel about Artificial Intelligence, and most recently a collection of ghost stories!
