Michael Jedlicka

After 22 years at The Mouse House, Michael Jedlicka retired from The Walt Disney Studios on Monday, August 1st, 2016, at the age of 61, after 22 years of service.

At Disney, Michael was VP/Technology & Strategy, managing all technology groups aligned to Post Production, Sound Engineering, Media Engineering, Machine Shop Engineering and Studio Operations.  In addition, Michael has over 40 years experience in technology management, high-performance computing, datacenter design and operations, media/post systems engineering, animation production technology, and visual effects production technology.  Michael earned a BA in Economics from UCLA (1978) with a Minor in Biochemistry, a BS in Computer Science from Cal State – East Bay (1985), where he was selected as a Distinguished Alumnus (2014), and an MBA from Pepperdine University, The George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management (1990).  Michael currently splits his time residing in Anaheim, CA, Cupertino, CA and Island Park, ID with his wife, Angie.  Michael has two daughters: Catherine (2 BA,'s, Mass Communications and Legal Studies, UC Berkeley {2010}, JD, University of Oregon School of Law {2013}, member of Oregon and California BARs) and Sarah (BA Political Economy, UC Berkeley {2013}.  Catherine is a practicing attorney in Eugene, OR and Sarah works at Disneyland.
