Meeting – VR Committee (Los Angeles/Online)

VES members are invited to attend the second meeting of the VR Committee. Multiple VR camera rigs (such as the AXA ARRI and AXA Red) and VR viewing devices will be presented by Radiant Images’ co-founder Michael Mansouri, followed by a case study of the VR movie MY BROTHERS KEEPER by directors Connor Hair, Alex Meader and producer Brian Hurst. We will also discuss the production of our short film, VIRTUALLY ENGAGED

The Joint Technology Subcommittee on Virtual Reality (VR Committee) was created by the American Society of Cinematographers Technology Committee in 2016 with the mandate to explore the role of the cinematographer in the creation of virtual reality experiences. The International Cinematographers Guild and the Visual Effects Society joined the committee shortly after its inception.
