VES 3rd Annual Training and Mentoring Program Pairs leading VFX Mentors with Students
Award-winning visual effects practitioners and artists from leading studios in Los Angeles and the Bay Area were paired with students as part of the Training and Mentoring program offered by the Visual Effects Society.
Students were selected by their professors from six schools and invited to all day seminars that provided an overview of the industry and practical advice from recruiters.
The mentorship lasts for three months and will give students the chance to work with their mentors as they transition from school into the workforce. Dozens of students met their mentors at Otis College of Art and Design to get acquainted with them and show them their reels.
The program would not be possible without the support from AMPAS, Sony Imageworks and Image Metrics.
