Rob Coleman is an Academy Award nominated Animation Director with 25 years of experience.
He spent 14 years with George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) and Lucasfilm Animation. While at Lucasfilm Animation (2005-2007), Rob directed five episodes of the animated Star Wars: Clone Wars television series. He also spent those two years developing an animated feature film project with George Lucas.
Rob was at ILM for 12 years (1993-2005) where he was Animation Director on the Star Wars prequels, The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith.
He was chosen as one of the most creative people in the entertainment industry when he was added to Entertainment Weekly’s “It List” in 2002 as their “It CG-Creature Crafter” for his work on the digital Yoda.
He has been nominated for two Oscars for his work on Attack of the Clones and The Phantom Menace and two British Academy Awards (BAFTAs) for his work on Men In Black and The Phantom Menace. He has received two MTV Movie Awards and two Saturn Awards for best visual effects on the Star Wars films.
Rob is currently the Head of Animation at Animal Logic in Sydney, Australia.
