Bio

My background was in the  conventional arts - painting, photography and studio production, and  it has had an influence on my CGI methods and techniques.

I've been delivering CGI since Babylon 5 in 1992, running the gamut of responsibilities from design and modeling, animation, lighting, compositing, on-set supervising, second unit directing, producing and navigating the egos and politics of directors, producers and clients.  I have adapted to the working pipelines of established houses like Rhythm & Hues, Dreamworks  and Digital Domain, and designed and built  efficient pipelines for both television series and mid-sized production facilities.  I've been both artist and supervisor, and have lectured at several schools for CGI.

I've also created and ran a short film festival, to encourage filmmaking at every level.  It ran for several years at the Arclight Cinema in Hollywood, to sell-out crowds.
