Progressive Insurance Benefits
In our continuing effort to add value to the benefits of membership, VES can now offer it’s members access to a health care broker, Progressive Benefits, a company which specializes in helping unaffiliated individuals in the entertainment industry gain access to health care benefits. Progressive, which is also utilized by IFP West (the Spirit Awards group), is a company that seeks to find health care coverage for individuals who work in the entertainment industry at rates better than that which they could obtain for themselves. The main benefits Progressive offers can be summarized as follows:
Once requests are received from VES members, they will be sent a quote with in 48 hours. The quote consists of all the different plans with benefit and rate information. From that quote, Progressive will be able to discuss the members’ specific needs and match them up to an appropriate plan. Progressive will assist them with plan selection, the application process and questions or problems they may have while they are on the plan
Another function Progressive provides relates to members who may currently be on an employer plan or a self-paying COBRA plan and wonder if they are on the best plan with the best rate possible. Since Progressive is familiar with all aspects of the insurance industry, they can answer that for them.
