Ara Kermanikian, Concept Designer and Author of Introducing Mudbox, will showcase some of his work and breakdown a few models to demonstrate the workflow strategies and various methods used. Learn efficiencies that will minimize the technical frustrations of moving your 3D models through the stages and applications of a production workflow. We will explore basic modeling methods ranging from traditional box modeling and kit bashing, to sculpting using cutting edge tools like Zspheres and Dynamesh.

Ara Kermanikian is a concept designer with a focus on futuristic character, vehicle, and set design. He is also an Autodesk Authorized Author. His book Introducing Mudbox was published in June 2010, he has written several Master Classes, and reviews for publications such as 3D Artist magazine. His work is also showcased in galleries of several Sybex books including several editions of Mastering Maya and Introducing ZBrush.
Ample street parking available for $.75/hour. Parking garage may be open and free on the Colorado Blvd. entrance, but if you need to pull a ticket, we cannot validate at this time. The entrance to Escape is off of the courtyard at the corner of Broadway and Cloverfield. Suite 210 is on the 2nd floor, just across from the elevators.
