Basic CG For Compositors
As the line between 2D and 3D becomes more and more blurred, the question arises - how much CG should a Compositor have in his or her arsenal? Join us on Saturday December 17th from 10:00AM to 12:00PM for an overview of some of the basic CG techniques used by compositors in production. Martin Hall will break down some of his recent projects, along with the ways in which he engineered passes in Vray and Mental Ray to complete his composites. There will be light refreshments and registration from 10:00AM to 10:30AM, and Martin's presentation will begin at 10:30AM, followed by a Q & A.

About Martin Hall: Martin Hall is a freelance VFX Supervisor and Compositor and Gnomon Instructor living and working in Los Angeles. His background in lighting models and miniatures makes him singularly qualified for analyzing the crossover between 2D & 3D. He recently finished work on MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 4 - GHOST PROTOCOL and is currently at work on TERRA NOVA, HAWAII 5-0 and GRIMM.
