The Mythbusters Clarify Difference Between CPU and GPU Based Rendering

Why #VFX seems hesitant to embrace GPU and other cluster based technologies is beyond me.

Why? Because currently in order to use a GPU you have to fit your entire scene into memory. That means you're limited to 3-6GB of memory. The industry would be happy to embrace it if it could actually render production scenes.
